CEFEX—the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence—independently certifies retirement plan service providers that meet rigorous fiduciary standards. Certification is not awarded once and forgotten. It requires an independent audit every year.
RPG Consultants has maintained continuous CEFEX certification as both a Third-Party Administrator and a Recordkeeper—one of only 6 firms in the country to hold both certifications.

CEFEX certification provides documented, independent evidence that RPG operates according to recognized fiduciary standards. In the event of a DOL inquiry, audit, or participant question, that evidence is already on record.

The Standard
What the audit actually covers
CEFEX certification is based on the Standard of Practice for Retirement Plan Service Providers, defined by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). The annual audit examines how we operate – our internal controls, documentation, service practices, and compliance processes. It’s an operational audit, not a marketing review. The result is a certification that reflects how we actually run our business.
