Strategic Development Manager

About Ben Rapp

Ben Rapp serves as Strategic Development Manager at RPG Consultants, where he focuses on strategic partnerships, business development, and helping support the firm’s long-term growth. Representing the third generation of family leadership at RPG, Ben works closely with financial advisors, CPA firms, payroll providers, recordkeepers, business owners, and other industry partners to strengthen the collaborative approach RPG brings to retirement plan consulting and administration.

Ben helps partners think more creatively about how retirement plans can support broader business, relationship, and client-service goals. He is particularly passionate about helping financial advisors confidently enter and grow within the retirement plan space while deepening relationships with business-owner clients. Whether discussing plan strategy, advisor business models, operational workflows, or co-branded educational initiatives, Ben approaches conversations as a consultant and problem-solver rather than a salesperson.

In addition to advisor and partner relationships, he plays an active role in refining RPG’s internal systems and growth initiatives, helping expand the firm’s educational and co-branded marketing efforts through presentations, webinars, LinkedIn content, and partner resources developed in collaboration with financial advisors, CPA firms, and payroll providers. He believes technology should support expertise, not replace it, and that the best systems create more time for meaningful conversations with advisors, partners, and clients.

Before RPG

Before joining RPG, Ben worked in the Human Capital and Organizational Consulting practices at both Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and KPMG, where he focused on organizational design, analytics, process optimization, and workforce transformation initiatives. The experience shaped Ben’s systems-oriented approach to business operations, helping him connect strategic ideas with practical execution. Ben also holds a certification in change management, which informs how he approaches advisor education, partner onboarding, and plan sponsor transitions with a focus on maintaining momentum and minimizing disruption.

Outside of Work

Ben currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife, Nava, while remaining deeply connected to RPG’s New York roots and its growing network of advisors and partners across the country. Outside of work, Ben enjoys baking sourdough bread, bouldering, tennis, and whirlyball.
