Evan Rapp joined RPG Consultants in 2001 and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Founded in 1983, RPG is a third-generation, family-owned Third Party Administrator and recordkeeper, and Evan represents its second generation of leadership.
Evan oversees the firm’s overall strategy, operations, and leadership team, while continuing to play an active role in business development, strategic partnerships, and key advisor and client relationships. Evan brings deep technical retirement plan expertise to his work with business owners and financial advisors, combined with a practical, direct approach to solving problems. He works closely with clients to design retirement plans that align with each company’s goals, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. As Evan often says, “Every TPA follows the same IRS laws. The difference is how much time you spend understanding the business behind the plan.”
Evan’s Influence on RPG
Under Evan’s leadership, RPG has continued to expand its advisor-focused service model while remaining independent and non-producing, with no asset management conflicts or proprietary investment products. Advisors and plan sponsors continue to have direct access to firm leadership, a philosophy that remains central to RPG’s identity and long-term relationships.
Evan has also played a significant role in the firm’s operational and technology development, including the development of RPGFocus, the firm’s in-house recordkeeping and advisor platform, as well as RPG’s Document Maintenance program and other operational tools built to streamline workflows and improve the client experience.
Before RPG
Before joining RPG, Evan held financial, operational, and technology management roles at both Einstein Medical Center and Cornell Medical Center.
Evan earned his Bachelor’s degree from Queens College and a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University. He is an accredited member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and holds both the Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designations. Evan previously served as Vice-Chairman of ASPPA’s Education & Examination Committee and as a member of ASPPA’s Retirement Plan Academy Advisory Group. He is also an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), authorized to represent clients before the IRS.
Outside of Work
In addition to presenting educational material to advisors and business owners on retirement plan strategy and state retirement mandates alongside his son, Ben, Evan has appeared on industry podcasts. He remains actively involved in his community as a volunteer EMT, with 2026 marking his 34th year of service. The experience has also shaped his approach to client service and leadership. He often reminds clients and staff: “There is no such thing as a pension emergency,” reflecting his belief that responsiveness matters most when paired with calm, thoughtful problem-solving.
Evan lives on Long Island with his wife, Gila, RPG’s Director of Finance, and their Havanese, Snickers. Together, they are proud parents of three sons, including Ben, who represents the next generation of leadership at the firm. Their sons Justin and William both serve in the United States Marine Corps.
